Last year here in the Midwest we had some pretty big snowstorms. These photos were taken of my nephew and niece having fun with all of that snow. Tyler took Callie sledding behind a four wheeler. They just had a ball as you can see in this two-page spread.
I loved scraping these photos in the summertime when it was over 100 degrees. It reminded me how much I love living in a place where we have four seasons. I used embossing powder on the bottom of the pages to mimic snow, and little jewels to look like snowflakes. Blue and white hues were used to set the tone for the layout. Callie standing by the mailbox lets you know just how much snow we really had. She is already looking forward to more snow coming this year!

2. Mat all of the photos with snowflake paper and then a light blue and white mat. The mats are cut ⅛” bigger than the picture and the next mat.
3. Cut the snowflakes, letters for the title, and the snowman from your Cricut, or use stickers if you don’t have a Cricut.
4. Set the pictures where you want them, and then stamp snowflakes throughout the pages in between the pictures; I used a blue ink.
5. Mat your journaling and use a silver pen to make doodles around the edges just to give it some shine. Set it on the page with the snowflake metal brad.
6. Color in your snowman and place him and your title on the page.
7. Stick the snowflakes that you punched and cut throughout the page, put the snowflake jewels on the pictures, and add the bling jewels to mimic snow
I have been crafting for years. I used to draw and paint as a child. My father taught me how to paint. I would take a small picture and create it exactly only bigger, and things like that. I got into scrapbooking and card making after my mother-in-law bought me a kit for my birthday about ten years ago. I love being creative and love this medium for expressing that creativity. I have a blog where I post my cards and scrapbooks, and I’ve started including detailed instructions with the photos. If you like, please check it out at http://deglasscockscreations.blogspot.com/
