It’s hard to believe it is spring! What a year it has been. Scrapbooking just keeps getting better. Each day I gain a greater appreciation and love for scrapbooking. You know how Oprah has her favorites. Well I thought I would share some of my favorite techniques with you. One of our talented designer’s Amie Davis, discovered that by simply running a dye based ink pad lightly over our own Time Saver designs caused an instant stain on all the embossed levels of the cardstock. This technique is so easy and fun to do. You can also run your ink pad all the way across the page going side to side, (press a little harder) it will look like old wood. It’s also fun to combine the colors, Van Dyke Brown and Soot (distressed ink). If ink pad is old and dried out it works even better.

Time savers are the only product out there that this technique will work on, because of the embossed edges. Using a makeup sponge or a cotton swab is also a fun way to add inks and chalks. You can also take fine sandpaper and sand the raised edges of the Time Saver and you will get a great sanded look. Perfect for that Shabby Chic look! Try it you’ll love the unique look. You may know by now that one of my deals is to add dimension to every page without it becoming too heavy or lumpy. Both of these techniques give instant dimension without adding to much weight. I hope you enjoy trying these techniques and turn your pages into treasured memories because that’s one of the things that matters most. If you have any fun, new techniques you've tried.
