Baby Kisses -- Article
This album was inspired by my youngest grandson and my sweet daughter-in-law. He is always giving her "baby" kisses and hugs and what a sweet thing to watch. I wanted to capture his love for her in one place.

Inked Memories -- Article
Old family photos are one of the most valuable pieces of our memory and finding the best, the most eye-catching way to present them is not always easy. My idea was using an acrylic base with alcohol inks, which aren’t usually combined with heritage pages, especially mixed with metal punches or glitter, reserved for more “funky” projects. But why not try and experiment?

Ollie Butt One -- Article
Having bought an acrylic album, I couldn't wait to play with it, even though I knew that it was going to be a challenge. First I needed a theme and a plan. Elly who grew up in England, was my friend before Ollie was born and so the title was the easiest part. Ollie Butt One is a pun on a British colloquialism. For example, Jane is next door but one... meaning 2 houses down. Ollie is Elly’s second son. And Ollie’s cute little behind was the perfect first page. Remember when designing an acrylic album, that layering is the key. Do not look at the album page by page but as a whole. What you place on the front page may be seen all the way through to the last.

Altering an acrylic shape with alcohol ink is an easy and fun way to spruce up projects. It gives the clear acrylic some color but still allows the transparent quality. Simply dab on the color and you’re done!

Amazing Acrylic Album -- Article
I was feeling like I was in a bit of a rut and needed something to shake things up in my scrapbooking when I decided to try working with acrylic albums. It was a little intimidating at first, but the challenges of working with acrylic were just the cure I needed to snap me out of my doldrums and it turned out to be a lot of fun.

“K” mini album -- Article
This album was created by alternating chipboard & acrylic album pages, and I used the same flourish stamp on each page to add repetition to tie it all together. Hope you enjoy!

Acrylic Celebration Album -- Article
Acrylic albums are becoming ever so popular. They are so versatile, allowing you to stamp, emboss, doodle, hole punch – just a glimpse of what is yet to come! Acrylic is a hard-wearing sturdy material making it an ideal choice for mini-book enthusiasts. Many manufacturers are adding acrylic to their product lines. I chose an acrylic tabbed book when designing this celebration book for my daughter’s 5th birthday party.

Around the World with Acrylic -- Article
This album is about my teaching trip for The Paper & Co Show 2008 at Versailles, France. I’ve used Clear Scraps Round Tag Album to create this. The clear element actually adds some elegance to it and I’ve used various techniques to dress it up. One of the techniques is using Magic Mesh to easily add textures and layers to some pages.

Mom’s Garden Acrylic Mini Album -- Article
My mom has always been very supportive of me and my many creative hobbies. Although my Mom loves crafty hobbies just like me, she is also very passionate about gardening. If it’s a beautiful day outside you can bet that Mom is out working in her vegetable garden or flower beds! While I was visiting my parents this summer, I really took the time to notice how beautiful my parents’ yard was. I could really see how much time and effort she had put into making it beautiful. I wanted to find a way to showcase that passion and commitment, so one afternoon I went through the yard and photographed her flowers. I then worked on compiling some of my favorite shots into a simple acrylic mini album that I titled “Mom’s Garden.” I hope that my mini album will inspire you to create a mini album or layout in honor of your Mom’s favorite hobby!

Gorgeous Isn’t Intimidating -- Article
I love working with acrylic albums, the possibilities are endless and they allow for so many opportunities to layer photos and elements in a whole new way. When creating the pages for this project, I found it was really important to consider the design from both the front side and back side before adhering anything to the album.
