It is no surprise that living in Miami would lead me to create a mini-album to house all of my beach pictures. Strangely enough, I have none, but at least the album is done. I own Scrapbooks & Stuff, a LSS in Miami, FL, and I wanted to demonstrate to my customers the use of different products we offer in our store. The main focus of this album was the use of the sand from Mudd Puddles. Since I had a “Beach” Mini-Album from Clear Scraps, I decided to use it in order to complete my project.
Christmas Tree Album -- Article I wanted to create a Christmas album that would not only be a centerpiece for our large living room table but also hold photos of our happy holiday memories. Designing a template for my album was as much fun as making the album itself. Using scrapbooking supplies in unique ways may result in a fun and one-of-a-kind design. I wanted to create a Christmas album that would not only be a centerpiece for our large living room table but also hold photos of our happy holiday memories. Designing a template for my album was as much fun as making the album itself. Using scrapbooking supplies in unique ways may result in a fun and one-of-a-kind design.
Cabinet Card Book -- Article From the beginning of time people have been mesmerized by books, the stories they tell, the details they possess and the ability to elapse back into time when reading and holding one. Books allow us to envision other worlds, and daydream about what we could be doing in those worlds, while scrapbooking allowed us to create our own worlds in a personal book, which was our private world.
Home Mini Album -- Article I snapped these pictures of my nieces and nephew at the park this past summer. I decided to compile them together in this Villa Mini Album by Maya Road for my sister. I asked her to write a few sentences about each of her kids and included her sentiments inside. When the album is not being looked at, the Villa will make a cute shelf decoration for her daughter’s nursery.
25 Years of Love -- Article I wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with a small album. It is simple, but filled with love. After 25 years, you can see a big change, especially in the fashion of eyeglass frames!
Teacher’s Thank You Book -- Article This was a book for my son’s first grade teacher. She’s a great teacher, and we wanted to make sure she knew how much we appreciate her. I took photos at all of the school functions. One day, while I was at my local scrapbook store, I found the My Mind’s Eye series called Just Dreamy 2. I loved the greens, blues, oranges and browns. I felt that it was gender neutral enough for a teacher’s book.
Into The Wild -- Article The idea to make an animal train came to me when I created some animal cards. Why not paper piece more animals and put them on a train? Then, alongside the animals were pictures of my daughters, my husband and myself.
Story of My Life -- Article I always believed that we are writing a story with our actions. But I never had enough patience to write a diary. That's why I like scrapbooking so much. It helps me to ”write” a story, even my own books!
Gypsy Journal -- Article A custom journal made from book board and using the new 7gypsies Binderie Punch. With the Binderie Punch you can create journals of any size and shape. The Binderie Punch will easily drill through heavy book board or 8-10 sheets of cardstock at one time. No more measuring for each and every hole, just slide in you project and press a button! It’s really just that easy!
Gracie’s Photo Shoot -- Article My daughter, Gracie, is quite the fashionista. She loves to play dress up and choose the perfect accessories. She was having such a fun time on this particular day modeling her outfit for me that I grabbed my camera and just started shooting. I loved this particular “photo session” and wanted to do something special with these pictures. When I found this handbag album I knew it was the perfect way to showcase them! I used lots of embellishments to play up the dress-up theme. This album was so much fun to make and I think it really captures the moment perfectly.
Berry Sweet Paper Gift Bag Album -- Article I have been creating paper-bag albums using regular brown lunch bags for nearly 3 years now. One day while shopping I noticed some brightly colored gift bags and thought to myself "I have got to make a mini album with these!", thus the paper gift-bag album was born! I have always loved to have a binding full of pretty ribbons and I really like how they look with the handles of the gift bags, but my favorite part of all paper-bag albums has to be the pockets. There is a pocket where the opening of each bag creates the perfect place not only for extra photos but also for memorabilia or even a large die cut with journaling on it. So, the next time you want to make a paper-bag album I challenge you to think outside of the box and try doing it with a gift bag!
Learning the Joys of Scrapping -- Article I have been keeping a journal since I was a kid and have been a collector of mementos, but I avoided scrapbooking as a hobby. I used the same excuse over and over again; I have nothing to scrapbook. In my naïve mind, a scrapbook was like a photo album decorated with colored paper, stickers, keepsakes and dates. The thought of trying scrapbooking seemed exciting, but I kept putting it off.
Military Fold-Out Album -- Article While dabbling with one of my new stamp plates “Military Honor”, I decided I wanted to make a military tribute to the men in my family who have served our country. Many of the stamps feature photos of my Dad, Uncle, my husband’s grandparents and my own son who is in the Army.

When I saw this scalloped mini album I knew I had a winner! I used it to make a 'brag book' for my husband's father. I knew it was a hit when my sister in law told me he took it to work with him to show everyone! It was such a big hit I made one for my mother in law, too!
Fall Altered Wooden Box and Mini Album -- Article Fall has always been my favorite time of the year. I lived my whole life in parts of the country where it meant raking leaves, taking walks in the brisk air and cheering on your football team while drinking hot chocolate. Since moving to southern California in 2005, I have missed the traditional fall season that most of the country enjoys. I live in extreme, southern, coastal CA, and we don’t get the fall color and crisp fall air of New Hampshire, Virginia or Ohio.
The Man You Never Knew -- Article This project came along as an answer to a lot of my five-year-old daughter's questions of who her grandfather was, what he looked like, and would he like her. With tears in my eyes, I told her he would have undoubtedly loved her. He loves her from heaven. I made this mini album showing the person that he was and how he interacted with people. I have layouts about his heroism and how he died, but I wanted her to have something about the way he lived.
Generations Photo Book -- Article My mom comes from a large family – sixteen children to be exact. Her mother also took in other families where there was abuse. Obviously other people took notice of her kind heart. One day, a baby girl was left at her doorstep in a basket. They later adopted and raised her as their own. Every year there is a family reunion. Needless to say it’s a huge gathering. Last time I counted, I had sixty-three first cousins. My aunt is gracious enough to host a party at her home. As a gift for her, I created this mini-generations scrapbook that she could add photos of family members throughout the years.
All-Grown-Up Acrylic Album -- Article As the mom of a beautiful seven-year-old who loves to model, I often will take my daughter around the yard and have impromptu photo shoots. Auntie’s Brag Book -- Article With the upcoming arrival of my first child in mind, I created this mini album for my sister-in-law. She will be a first time auntie so I wanted to make this occasion special for her too. For me, it was very challenging to come up with a gender-neutral color scheme, but when I saw these beautiful papers, I knew I had found a perfect match. These little albums are ideal for mini-books and gifts of all occasions because they can be created for ordinary cardstock.
Mothers & Friends -- Article The topic of Mothers is something close to my heart lately as I find myself living thousands of miles away from family. In recent weeks my Moms health has further declined, which causes me to think of her more and more. The bond between parent and child is a very strong one, but between Mother and child, well in my opinion that's the strongest bond of all. I'll be the first to admit our relationship hasn't always been the best (teenage years anyone?), but I really think we became closer as I moved away. There is something to be said for absence making the heart grow fonder, but really I just think it’s because we all take our mothers for granted. It's only when they get sick, and give us that shock that in fact they aren't superhuman, that we suddenly realize what a big part of our lives they really are.

Holiday Album -- Article One of the best parts of the holidays is the all of the photo opportunities. Even if you don’t like being in photos, you can’t resist a quick smile while the resident photo taker (my mom holds that title in our family) snaps away. With today’s technology there’s really no excuse to not share these candid family moments. Instead of just sending an email full of photos this year make mini holiday albums full of colorful paper, printed photos, and memories.
