An Independent Girl -- Article
The projects in this article are appropriate for the beginner or intermediate paper crafter.

This month marks the independence of our nation, so I thought it would be fun to explore "independence" as it relates to women.

I love using images of women whether they be from Shakespearean times or from the 50's . . . they're all fun to use and can serve as great jumping off points for about any theme.

Greetings for the New Year -- Article
These projects are for beginning and intermediate stampers.

Celebrate the New Year by making cards for family and friends. There seem to be very few stamps of this theme available in stamping stores. However, you can make New Year’s cards by using stamps and images that you already have on hand. The four samples below will show you how to use them in new and creative ways.

The Minimalist Stamper -- Article
This article includes projects for intermediate stampers.

For several years, the trend within the stamping world seemed to lean toward increasingly complex designs and techniques. Let’s face it-we’re all suckers for fun new ideas and products! Lately, however, I sense a longing to go back to basics.

Patriotic Cards to Celebrate the Birth of a Nation -- Article
These projects are perfect for the beginning and intermediate stamper.

One of America’s favorite holidays is the Fourth of July. This year we are gathering to celebrate the two hundred and twenty-eighth anniversary of the birth of our nation. In many communities it is an all day event beginning with a parade, followed by a community picnic, then a symphonic concert, and ending in a dazzling display of fireworks.

Gone Fishing -- Article
These projects are for intermediate stampers.

When I first thought of making cards with a fishing theme, I thought only of the masculine gender. However, I soon found that fly fishing shops also cater to stampers. Not only does the store carry great fishing gear but also it has a terrific selection of embellishments for cards. I was surprised to see beautiful fibers and feathers as well as swivels to use with charms and sinkers that will find their way into an altered book.

Six Femmes -- Article
This article includes projects for intermediate stampers.

When the "More Fems-2" plate that I had ordered from Hearts In Touch arrived in the mail, I was immediately inspired to sit down and make a card with the Twenties Femme image. I so enjoyed coloring her that I soon had completed cards with six of the twelve imaged on the plate.

Now that this long hard winter is over, we are all looking forward to the beautiful things that springtime brings our way. Thinking of spring draws up images of new beginnings, hope, and anticipation of the beautiful things to come. One of the things that springtime brings is flowers. Stamp Artists can celebrate this event in all kinds of ways, but the simplest and easy way to express this celebration is through card making.

Believe it or not, there are many different shades of black cardstock. The undertones may be green, red, or brown. This becomes very obvious if you use bleach in your stamping projects.

The Language of Thank You -- Article
This article contains projects for Beginner to Intermediate Stampers.

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it." - William A. Ward

William Ward definitely had the right idea! How many times have we considered the generosity and thoughtfulness of a friend or relative, and just not managed to get a note in the mail? Isn’t it great when we have sent a note, and receive a warm thank you in return? It seems that goodwill and warm feelings continue to grow and spread!
