Backyard Water Fun (Page 1) Summer by Valerie Holder |
|
Nothing's more refreshing than running through the icy sprinkler water on a hot summer day? I saw a similar layout in Creating Keepsakes and knew it would be perfect for these photos. Using pre-made elements by All My Memories and Li'l Davis Designs makes this layout come together in a snap.

Instructions
- Cut strips of pink paper and adhere to the edges of the background cardstock.
- Freehand cut the sun and it's rays from the patterned paper. Using a circle cutter cut the center of the sun. Assemble the sun, cut in half and mount to either side of your layout.
- Crop and mat photos. Mount the top two.
- Apply glue only to the bottom of the grass die cut and mount just above the bottom pink strip. Use a thin ruler to evenly lift the blades of grass and slide the two bottom photos underneath.
- To make the water drops, use a Zig brush pen. Gently place the tip of the pen on the paper, press down and then lift the pen straight up. This creates a teardrop shape.
- Cut the page topper in half, mat and mount.
- Hand write the journal boxes. Mat and mount the smaller one.
- Add eyelets to the main journal box. When stringing the floss through the eyelets, secure on the backside with single sided tape then run it back through the same hole.
- Punch flowers and adhere to the page. Draw in stems and leaves.
