Ocean Waves (Page 1) Vacations by Michael Suchy |
|
Using the fiber was new for me, but I learned that it made it easier for me to place the title. I tried to do it without the fiber and I just couldn't get it right. This is also the first time I tried negative space lettering and I really like how it turned out.

Instructions
To create the title necklace, I started by cutting out rectangles for the letters and rubber stamps. The letter rectangles were cut 1"X 2 1/2" out of gray paper. The stamping rectangles were cut 2"X 2 1/2" out of pink paper. Then I stamped the shells and starfish on the pink rectangles
To create the negative space letters on the gray, I punched the letters out of the gray paper and backed each with 1" black square applied to the back of the letter with adhesive . Then I punched a hole in the top corners of the rectangles and threaded the fiber through them. After that, I found a reference point for the last letters and laid my title with adhesive.
I used a white gel pen to detail the letters, and a black gel pen to detail the numbers.
I then used an embossing template to make the waves at the top of the page. I placed white waves between the embossed black waves.
