Instructions

Fold Turquoise card stock in half. Crease fold well with the bone folder. You should have a finished card size of 4 ¼”x 5 ½”. Stamp the Crackle image using the Versamark ink on the front of the folded card. Lightly brush the Pearl Ex pigment powder over stamped image using the paintbrush. Wipe the excess powder off using the tissue or soft cloth. Do not wipe too hard on the image as this will rub the powder and ink right off. Set card aside to dry.

Stamp the Jumbo playing card with the Stained glass sun image using the Black Memories ink. Heat set ink. When cooled, color in image using the Sharpie markers. Shade the sun with the Orange marker. Color the Moon with the light blue, and then shade it with the darker blue. Color in the mage as shown in sample, or as you like!

When coloring with Sharpie markers, keep a scrap piece of white paper nearby so you can clean the tips of the markers. Say you a re coloring with the yellow marker. You want to shade with the orange marker. You will draw a line just inside the outer line of the image using the orange marker. Now you will use the yellow marker and blend the two colors together. Wipe the tip of the- yellow marker off on the scrap paper to get rid of the other colors on it. This also works well when you goof up on any colors. Simply use another lighter colored marker to wipe the ‘wrong’ color off the image, cleaning the tip off on the scrap paper after each stroke. Works great!

When image is dry, line the edges of the card with the Gold leaf pen. Set aside for a minute to dry.

Cut the rainbow paper into strips that measure roughly ¼” wide by the length of the card. Measure in abut ¼” from the edge of the card, and then glue a strip on each side on the front of the card using the glue stick. Refer to sample if needed. Glue the Stamped playing card in the center of the prepared card.

** A note on Hand Dyed paper. I have some huge thick filters that are used in the fast food industry to filter the fryer oil through. They make wonderful background papers. I put the filter on a plastic wrapped piece of cardboard, then I used my Dye Re-inkers to add color to them, then sprayed the colored papers with water. That made the inks run together and look rather like tie-dyed material. Let them dry.
