Instructions
Fold the Textured red cardstock into 4” panels, accordion style. Crease folds well with a bone folder. Randomly stamp the Script image and the Mini Butterfly image over all panels of the accordion card using the Black Memories Ink pad. Randomly stamp the Ornamental Leaf image in the same manner using the Gold Encore pigment ink pad over all panels. Stamp one playing card suit in each of the center four panels using the White Memories permanent ink. I put the matching suit of playing card in each panel. Sponge Black Memories ink lightly around all edges of each panel to darken them slightly. Apply Gold Encore pigment ink to all edges over the black ink by rubbing the ink pad over the cardstock edges. Set card aside to dry.
For this card you will be using the playing cards as they are, no sanding at all! I used the number 4 playing card in each suit. Ink only one face on the Magenta stamp with the black memories Permanent ink and stamp it in the center of one Jumbo card. Heat set ink with a heat gun. Repeat this step with each face on the three remaining Jumbo playing cards. Add a touch of color to the faces with the Decorator Chalks.
Cut a square out of a sheet of Post-It Note paper the same size as the faces. This will be your mask so that you can stamp over the face image without actually stamping on the face itself. Place the mask on the face image on one card. Stamp the Script image over the masked face using the Black Memories Permanent ink. Stamp the Mini Butterfly image randomly on the card using the Cherry Red Memories Permanent ink. Remove mask and heat set ink.
You will now use the Colorbox Stylus with a white foam tip to stamp Versamark Ink on the card. I wanted to kind of frame the faces. Once you are happy with the ink, cover the Versamark ink with the Antique Gold embossing powder. Pour the excess powder back into the bottle. Heat the powder with a heat gun to emboss. Now draw a Curving line using the Versamark Pen. Cover pen lines with the Red embossing powder. Pour off excess powder back into bottle. Heat the powder with the heat gun to emboss. Stamp one of the Spirit Word images onto the topportion of the card using the Versamark Ink. Now cover the image with the Black Glitter embossing powder. Pour the excess powder back into the bottle. Heat the powder with the heat gun to emboss. Repeat this step with the remaining Jumbo playing cards. Cut the black cardstock into four 2 1/5”x 3 5/8” pieces. Round the corners of each piece using scissors and glue the stamped Jumbo cards on each piece.
I then used the four Queen cards from the mini card deck. I then used the Craft Knife to cut out the center image of each one. You will know have four frames. Stamp Versamark ink randomly around each frame and then cover with Antique Gold embossing powder. Pour excess powder back into bottle. Heat the powder with the heat gun to emboss.
Stamp the faces again on the 4”x 6” red cardstock. Cut the faces apart. You will now trim each face to fit behind a queen frame. Glue the stamped images onto the backs of the frames.
Glue two mini frames on the front panel of the card and the other two on the back panel. Glue the Jumbo playing cards onto the four middle panels as seen in sample photo. I also glued the corresponding Queen card that I have cut out for the frames with each card.
Stamp the Scrabble letters to spell the words “Four Queens” onto the white cardstock scrap. Each word should be separate. Cut out both words and glue the “Four” to the front panel .Glue the “Queens” to the back panel. Stamp the coordinating Spirit word next to each frame using the Black Memories Permanent ink.
