Fall Laua'e Altered Book Tip-In Altered Art by Debbie West |
Tip-ins are altered book pages which are created separately and added to the altered book as completed pages. They are often created for swaps, where altered book artists exchange their artwork.

- Camel Hair Cardstock (the paperpalette.net)

- Via Terra Cotta cardstock (the paperpalette.net)
- Green Mist Cardstock (thepaperpalette.net)
- More Mustard Stamp Pad (Stampin' UP!)
- Brilliance Cosmic Copper Stamp Pad (Tsukineko)
- Stamp n' Bond (Stampendous)
- Potpourri Leaf (GrafTEK)
- Small and XLG Laua'e stamps (Rubber Stamp Plantation)
- Glue Dots (Memory Book)
- Heat tool (Milwaukee)
- Soft brush (Loew-Cornell)
- Book to Alter (from used book store, yard sale, thrift store, etc.)

Instructions
1. Trim copper Stardream to fit page in your altered book (shown: 6 5/8" X 10").
2. Stamp small laua'e diagonally on 4 2 3/8" X 2 3/8"pieces of Camel Hair cardstock, using More Mustard pad. Be sure to center images.
3. Randomly stamp small laua'e on 5 1/2" X 5 1/2" sunflower cardstock using Brilliance Cosmic Copper.
4. Randomly stamp small laua'e on 4 via Terra Cotta cardstock pieces (2 1/2" X 2 1/2"), using More Mustard.
5. Stamp XLG Laua'e diagonally on 3 5/8" X 3 5/8" acetate, using copper pigment ink.
6. Sprinkle with Stamp N' Bond Powder and heat with heat tool. Cover adhesive with Potpourri Leaf. Press leafing to adhere to laua'e image. Brush away excess leafing using a soft brush.
7. Print computer generated poem or quote on Green Mist cardstock and trim to 6 1/4" X 9 1/4".
8. Layer cardstock pieces as shown, using Glue Dots to hold in place.
9. Place Glue Dots on back of acetate piece, taking care to place them where they will not be visible from the front. Adhere acetate piece to page, centering above poem or quote.
10. Use Glue Dots to permanently place page in your altered book.
