When I saw the ColorBox Pastel Fluid Chalk Option Pad Soft Pastels, I immediately thought of impressionist painters and could not resist altering pages in this calendar diary.
Supplies
  • Colorbox Fluid Chalk Option Pad Soft Pastels (Clearsnap)
  • Claude Monet 2003 Diary Calendar (Taschen)
  • Various Pieces of Art Paper (Artist Collection)
  • Skeletal Leaves (The Lacy Paper Company)
  • Scotch Permanent Double Sided Tape (3M)
  • 1/2" Circle Punch (Uchida)
  • Heat It Craft Tool (Ranger Industries)
  • Colorbox Stylus Duo Set (Clearsnap)
  • White Cardstock (Artist Collection)
  • Memory Book Glue Dots (Glue Dots International LLC)
  • 12" Rotary Paper Trimmer (Fiskars)
  • Scissors (Kai)
  • Self-Stick Address Labels (Avery)
  • Charms (JewelryFindings-OnLine.Com)
  • I Could Have Danced All Night (Our Lady of Rubber)

Instructions

1. Select art papers and using rotary cutter, size to fit pages. Tear one edge, layer using tape and attach to both pages.

2. Attach small pieces of tape to the bottom of the leaves. Gently lift one layer at a time and insert skeletal leaves.

3. Add dragonfly charm.

4. Heat moldable stylus with heat gun and press against a selected charm top make an impression to use as a stamp.

5. Ink stylus and stamp onto an address label, cut out and attach to page. Repeat with additional inks.

6. Add dragonfly sticker.

7. Stipple wisteria, pastel pink and alabaster. 8. Ink text stamps with rose coral and stamp onto white cardstock. Trim using rotary cutter and attach to page with tape.

9. Stamp text "I could have danced all night" directly onto page with rose coral ink.

10. Ink dancer with pink pastel and stamp onto white cardstock. Cut out image, place pop dots on back and attach to page.

11. Punch out circles from art paper. Glue to page using glue dots.

12. Finish by cutting fibers in 20” lengths and attaching to top of wire binding.
