Mama 2
Product Challenge by Tracey Kazimir-Cree
Find a store near you! Printable Project Card
Intermediate--There’s never such a thing as a "mistake" when you’re stamping...This project emerged as a result of a dying print cartridge that wouldn’t print true grayscale photos.
Supplies
  • Speckled card stock (Stampin up!)
  • Blue speckled card stock (Artist’s collection)
  • Purple Mulberry Paper (Artist’s collection)
  • Mauve Mist card stock (Stampin up!)
  • Two copies of photograph of mother and baby - 4"x6" and 2"x3" (Artist’s collection)
  • White alphabet buttons (Junkitz)
  • Easy Runner (Scrapbook Adhesives)
  • Vellum collection alphabet lower case Lilac and Sky (Mrs. Grossman’s)
  • Glue Dots (Glue Dots)
  • Purple 6" Self Adhesive Zipper (Junkitz)
  • Tag (Artist’s collection)
  • Assorted Fibers (Really Reasonable Ribbon)
Instructions

1. Fold 8.5" x 11" speckled card stock in half, horizontally, to form an 8.5" x 5.5" card.

2. Layer purple mulberry paper onto speckled card using EZ Runner.

3. Trim mauve mist card stock and layer onto mulberry paper using EZ Runner.

4. Trim photo.

5. Trim blue speckled card stock to same height as photo and wide enough so that when you layer the card stock and the 4"x6" photo on the mauve mist card stock they form a band that meets the edges of the mauve mist card stock.

6. Spell out ‘mama’ with letter stickers vertically on blue speckled card stock.

7. Spell out name of baby and mother with white alphabet buttons. Use glue dots to adhere.

8. Create a bookmark with tag, cardstock and mulberry scraps left over from front of card. Add the 2"x3" photo and thread assorted fibers through tag hole. 8. On the inside of the card, make a pocket with mulberry paper and zipper, large enough to hold tag.
