Perfect Match Candle Favor
Stamped Gifts by Geny Cassady
Find a store near you! Printable Project Card
I found a perfect, lovely scented candle at my local drugstore and decided it would make a really cute wedding favor. I think the candle is something anyone would like as a memento from the happy couple’s big day. To reproduce this project you simply need to follow the directions below:
Supplies
  • Cardstock: Berry Sorbet, Stamper Select White, Sweet Blush (Papertrey Ink)
  • Embellishment: White Opal Liquid Pearls (Ranger)
  • Ink: Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush (Papertrey Ink), Whisper White (Stampin’ Up!)
  • Punches: 1 ¼” Square, 1” Square (Stampin’ Up!)
  • Ribbon: Berry Sorbet Twill, Sweet Blush Satin (Papertrey Ink)
  • Stamps: Boxes, Bags and Tags, Favor It Weddings (Papertrey Ink)
  • Tin: 4 oz. Clear Top Tin (Papertrey Ink)
Instructions

1. Remove top from tin and set aside. Place candle without wick in the tin and bake in a low oven (around 250?) for around 10-15 minutes or until the candle is completely melted. If you do more than one candle you will need to allow more time for melting.

2. Remove tin with melted candle from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Insert wick and allow to cool completely before decorating.

3. For the bottom of the tin, cut a strip of cardstock the width of the tin and stamp with flowers. Adhere to tin using red line tape or the equivalent. Add liquid pearls to the flower centers and set aside to dry.

4. For the top of the tin, cut a scalloped mat using the Cuttlebug and scalloped squares die. Stamp the outline and sentiment, then punch out with a square punch. Punch a larger square with coordinating cardstock. Round the corners of all the squares and layer as pictured. Adhere to top of tin using red line tape or equivalent.

5. Measure a piece of twill to fit around the outside of the lid. Stamp the twill with the coordinating flower in white ink. Adhere around the tin with red line tape or equivalent.

6. Assemble the tin and wrap the satin ribbon around it with the wooden match placed through the knot.
