Supplies
  • Adhesive: 1.5” create-a-sticker™, 9” Creative Station™, 3/8” Adhesive Runner (Xyron®), Aleene’s Tacky Glue (Duncan Enterprises), Glue Dots (Glue Dots)
  • Cardstock: green 8 ˝ x 11
  • Chipboard sheets
  • Foam sheets
  • Ink
  • Patterned paper
  • Tools: craft knife, hammer, hole punch
Instructions

1. Following template, print then trace/transfer onto chipboard. Cut out napkin holder and tray with a craft knife. Score on fold lines and fold. Glue marked areas with tacky glue.

2. Cut paper sections by matching coordinating sections of the template. Run each section through the Xyron 900. Cover the chipboard with paper.

3. Place tacky glue on the bottom of the top portion of the napkin holder. Adhere it to the bottom tray portion of the napkin holder.

4. Using a hammer punch. Punch 2 or 4 small holes through the bottom of the napkin holder and through the tray. Adhere with brads through each hole.

5. Assemble the triangular bar and cover with paper. Place a section of elastic through the bar. Adhere to napkin holder with brads on each side.

6. Cut flowers in coordinating colors. Cut 4 large leaves from green cardstock. Ink edges.

7. Run foam sheet strips through the Xyron 150. Remove clear protective sheet. Flip over and run through the X150 again. Using a round-hole punch, punch sections of the sheet to create pop-up dots.

8. Place pop-up dots under each flower section to create depth. Adhere flowers along top of napkin holder and along the bottom section as shown.

9. Cut three 6” sections of wire. Bend around a pencil to form curls, open curls to form spirals. Apply as shown near flowers with glue dots.

10. Cut a 9” section of wire. Place seed beads on wire. Bend edge of wire around the bottom of the first flower on the left (along the top edge) to form a stem. Bend beaded wire around the other flowers to continue the stem and run it down the right side of the napkin holder.

11. Adhere 2 large green leaves along the lower front of the napkin holder with glue dots.

12. Adhere a flower in each corner of the tray with glue dots.

Tips:
• Letting the glue dry on the chipboard for several hours or overnight is recommended. Use paper clips to hold pieces firmly together while drying.
• Score chipboard by lightly cutting with a craft knife at folds.
• For outdoor use, coat finished napkin holder with outdoor quality sealer. To weigh down the bottom of the napkin holder, adhere pennies or other coins along bottom of the napkin holder.
