Beautiful Bags for Brides
Stamped Gifts by Lynn Mercurio
Find a store near you! Printable Project Card
When you are a bride-to-be or a Mother-of-the-bride, time is limited when it comes to wedding preparations. Sometimes, spending lots of money is best reserved for that awesome wedding dress, or the divine wedding cake that everyone will enjoy. When I began thinking about what favor I would create, I knew that I wanted to create a project that would be easy to mass produce yet elegant at the same time without the need for an extreme amount of cash. These glassine bags seemed to be just the thing. They are quick and easy to produce in only a few simple steps, yet elegant enough to please any guest.
Supplies
  • Cardstock: Berry Sorbet Perfect Match (Papertrey Ink)

3. Stamp sentiment onto white cardstock.

5. Adhere both scalloped pieces, slightly offsetting.

6. Attached trimmed ribbon to the back of the scalloped pieces and attach to the designer paper.

7. Fill bag with desired treat.

8. Fold bag down 1” and through all layers punch two ¼” holes using ¼” hole punch about ¾” apart.

9. Using 9” of ribbon trim ends and fold in half

10. Thread folded end of ribbon from the front top hole from the back toward the front, then thread the ends from the back toward the front, tying in a knot to secure.
