This photo of my daughter is one of my favorites. While on vacation, I learned how to use the camera settings on my new camera. In this photo, I was able to teach the camera to color her pink swimming suit and sunglasses and have the rest of the photo in black and white. I wanted to use cardstock and embellishments in the layout that would coordinate with and compliment the colors in the photo.

  • Adhesive Tabs: Fiskars
  • Brad: Making Memories
  • Clips: Making Memories, Karen Foster
  • Cardstock: Fizz (Club Scrap)
  • Flower: Heidi Swapp
  • Grommets: Making Memories
  • Glue Dots: Zots
  • Glue Stick: Elmer’s
  • Ink: Pink Passion Stampin’ Write Marker (Stampin’ Up), Jet Black Ink Pad (Staz On)
  • Letters: Leather (Joann Scrap Essentials)
  • Magic Mesh: Dottie Ann
  • Paint Marker: Zig
  • Rhinestones: Bling Borders (Heidi Swapp)
  • Ribbon Slide: Joann Scrap Essentials
  • Ribbon: Strano Designs
  • Stamp: Autumn Leaves
  • Transparency: Transparent Touches and Tags
Instructions

1. Cut cardstock to desired sizes.

2. Adhere grommets to square cardstock pieces. Attach mesh to cardstock. Attach ribbon to cardstock piece and put on ribbon slide.

3. Stamp “travel record” stamp on cardstock piece.

4. Attach all cardstock to layout. Add rhinestone strips to layout.

5. Attach photo to layout. Place transparency over photo and attach with clip and brad.

6. Use paint marker to write on transparency and attach leather letters with glue dots.
