Vacations by Cheryl Kelly-Van Domelen
Find a store near you! Printable Project Card
I love the innocence of my daughter walking out into the ocean in this photo. I didn’t have much that I wanted to journal on this layout so I used several traveling and tropical words to describe it. I placed the words randomly (some overlapping the photo) in order to direct the viewer’s eyes towards the photo.
Supplies
  • Adhesive Tabs: Fiskars
  • Chipboard: Cherry Arte
  • Glue Dots: Zots
  • Glue Stick: Elmer’s
  • Ink: Close to Cocoa Classic Stampin’ Pad (Stampin’ Up)
  • Paint: Winter Blue Acrylic Paint (Americana)
  • Paper: Crate Paper
  • Rub-Ons: Top Line Creations
  • Stickers: Soft Spoken (Me and My Big Ideas)
Instructions

1. Paint the chipboard, let dry, then ink edges.

2. Cut a strip of cardstock and put rub-ons on it. Cut the strip into pieces.

3. Cut cardstock to desired size. Use decorative scissors to cut two smaller strips of cardstock.

4. Add cardstock, chipboard and photo to layout. Then add the word strips and stickers.

I’m Cheryl from Madison, Wisconsin. I’m an engineer turned stay-at-home mom to a beautiful three-year-old girl. I’ve been scrapbooking for six years and my hobby has grown to include stamping, papercrafts, altered items, and photography. I love learning new techniques, participating in challenges and online crops. My blog, Engineered Expressions, is located at www.cakvd2.blogspot.com.

Note: All of the images on scrapbooking.com can be clicked on and one of two things will happen. Either a detailed page about the layout will be displayed or a more detailed version of the picture will appear
