Don’t Rain on My Parade
Weather by Joan Fowler
Find a store near you! Printable Project Card
This is a holiday layout using some 3D embellishments.
Supplies
  • Patterned Paper by Debbie Mumm (Creative Imaginations)
  • GF Halda Normal Computer Font (Downloaded from the Internet)
  • Lettering Templates (Pagerz - CurlyQ)
  • Jumbo Square Punch (Craft Punch)
  • Gold Metallic String (Artist’s Collection)
  • Small Jingle Bells (Artist’s Collection)
  • Plastic Jewels (Artist’s Collection)
  • Clasps (Artist’s Collection)
  • Gold Metal Sheets (Artist’s Collection)
Instructions

1. Tear green cardstock horizontally at a height of approximately 7 inches. This ensures sufficient height to accommodate a 4" x 6" photos. Compose journaling and format the page set-up to print on the bottom left-hand corner of the torn cardstock. Print and attach to patterned paper.

2. Double mat your main photo, first with red cardstock, then green.

3. Using jumbo square punch, center punch over desired part of photo.

4. To make Christmas lights, cut a small cone out of a gold-colored metal sheet and insert "jewel" into the cone, attaching with clear glue. On gold metallic string, alternate small jingle bells and "jewels". The jewels are affixed to the garland by bending the metal tab over the string. To make the job easier, there are mini garlands available at card and craft stores.

5. Attach garland with glue dots as shown.

6. Using Pagerz CurlyQ template, draw letters in reverse on backside of red cardstock. Cut and attach to layout on the seam between the green cardstock and the patterned paper.

7. Attach photos as shown.
