Me & Ms. Jones
Teachers by Deborah L. Lewis
Find a store near you! Printable Project Card
This is my son Jacob with his middle school chorus teacher. Jacob had Ms. Jones as a teacher for 3 years. She has had a great impact on his life. The journaling on this layout was done by my son. This is how he felt about Ms. Jones while she was his teacher.
Supplies
  • Adhesive: Xyron
  • Embossing powder: clear
  • Ink: ColorBox (Clearsnap, Inc.)
  • Notebook paper
  • Patterned paper: Color Me Silly (BasicGrey), Musical Score (Karen Foster Designs)
  • Pen: Slick Writer, red
  • Rub-ons: KI Tattoos, Making Memories
  • Stamps: foam (Making Memories)
  • Thread: gold
Instructions

1. Cut the center page to 10” x 10” and lightly adhere it to the base page. Zig zag stitches with gold thread around the 10” x 10” piece. Place a 9.5” x 6.5” photo on the page leaving room at the bottom. Cut out the piano from the Karen Foster paper and slide the edge slightly under the photo and adhere. Cut a strip of notebook paper, leave the piece torn from the notebook attached, and adhere it with the edge underneath the piano strip.

2. Print your journaling on the Karen Foster paper. There is no need to make sure the words are on the lines of the paper. Cut out each word. Doodle around the words with the red pen and ink the edges with black ink.

3. The title is created from Making Memories rub-ons. Print your parenthesis from your computer font, emboss and cut out. Small items like the parenthesis are best adhere with Xyron’s Sticker Maker.

4. "Practice" is small strips of black paper run through a dynamo and then sanded down to see the words. It is important that the black paper is from white core paper or the paper has a white back. The size of the strip is more than a Ό” and less than a ½” wide.
