Instructions

Gift Bag

1.) Distress edges of bag with ink color of choice. Cut cardstock and background and texture paper to size of bag and adhere. Tip: To add a color to lined paper, cut small strips of cardstock in color of your choice and adhere. In this project we added black stripes to the background and texture paper for added effect.

2.) Cut middle strip of cardstock and random stamp image of your choice in ink of same color for tone on tone look. Distress the edges of the cardstock and adhere to bag.

3.) Wrap ribbon around bag and handles; attach bows if desired to handles. Tip: You can dye your own ribbon colors using white grosgrain ribbon and re-inker. To do this take a small container and add a few drops of re-inker. Add ribbon and let it soak together until you get the desired color. You can also do this using Waxy Flax or other white based products like paper flowers.

4.) Make metal rimmed circle tag by adhering cardstock color of your choice to the center. Stamp and cut out image of your choice, adhere using 3-D Foam Square. Staple piece of Waxy Flax to attach it to the bow.

5.) Random stamp tissue paper with image of your choice. Distress the edges of the tissue paper with ink color of your choice for added effect.

Candy

1.) Cut cardstock or background and texture paper to size of the candy to make a sleeve.

2.) Attach metal rimmed tags using ribbon and photo hangers to circular candy like Rolo. Stamp an image in the center or create your own template. For flat candy bars spell out words like “SPOOKY” and stamp in color of your choice. Cut out each letter and adhere to candy bar. Add eyes using brads and cardstock to complete the look, put an emphasis on certain letters by adhering with 3-D Foam Squares to elevate them. Cut a circle for another candy design and create your own template for ghosts, pumpkins, and other popular Halloween images. Stamp phrases like “Boo”, “Candy”, and “Trick or Treat” for added fun.

Card

1.) Cut 10” x 7” piece of cardstock color of your choice and fold in half. Distress edges with ink of your choice. Cut out a 1 ½” x 7” piece and adhere it to the front of the card, placing it 1 ¾” from the top edge.

2.) Cut out 3” x 3 ½” inch rectangle from the right side of the card front, 1” from the top and right edges.

3.) Adhere 3” x 3 ½” inch rectangle of background and texture paper of your choice, aligned with the window area inside the card. Spell out words like “BOO” and stamp in color of your choice. Cut out each letter and adhere to card. Put an emphasis on letters by adhering with 3-D Foam Squares to elevate them. Add ribbon, brads, and photo corners if desired to give a more finished look.

4.) To create the mummy cut a 2 ½” x 1 ½” piece of Colonial White cardstock and round the edges. Cut small strips of Colonial White cardstock (1/4” x 1 ½”) and distress the edges using Exclusive Inks Desert Sand ink pad. Adhere randomly and attach wiggle eyes at the top.
