A mid-size scrapbook ready for pictures can make a perfect gift. It can also be a great way to use leftover embellishments from earlier projects and give you something to create in a short afternoon.

Instructions
1. Remove page inserts from album and ink all edges and up to a 1” border around each insert. Ink all edges of binder, both inside and out. While allowing ink to dry, coordinate your choice of pattern papers and cardstocks, including those scraps.
2. Use a single piece of 8x8 cardstock to adhere to the outside back cover. Using scissors or a punch, create a decorative border on the left side of your 12x8 piece of pattern paper. Adhere 12x8 pattern paper to the outer edge of front cover and wrap it around the spine of the album so that the decorative edge overlaps the cardstock on the back. Wait until the inside of the album is finished before adding embellishments to the outside of the cover.
3. Create each page as you would an 8x8 layout. Coordinate your papers and embellishments, glue papers as you prefer, adding brads and staples prior to adhering the final layout to the chipboard pages. Apply glue to backside of the layout and adhere to chipboard pages and inside of binder.
4. Apply flowers, bling, buttons and additional embellishments to each page using glue dots or double sided tape. Use markers or paint pens to outline some paper edges and acrylics for dramatic effect.
5. Use a paper bag to make a keepsake pocket for the final page of the album. Ink the edges to compliment the layout created for the back cover. Cut the bag to a height of 6”. Punch two holes 1 ˝” from top of bag and approximately 3” apart, centered from edges. Lace with ribbon. Adhere to inside of cover with double sided tape.
6. Using a Crop-A-Dile or strong punch, pierce the top, front cover with several holes. I chose to punch seven, randomly spaced holes. Lace and knot with coordinating ribbon.
7. Finish decorating the front cover with your embellishment selection.
