Happy Birthday – cupcake Card Making by Eva Alvarez |
|
I like to give a personalized birthday card for my family and friends. I began to scrapbook cards. My first one was very simple, but since then I have done a lot, the great majority are birthday cards.

Instructions
1. Cut your base cardstock (11” x 4”.)
2. Fold it at 5.”
3. With the template and a pierce make holes in the inside of the card, make “happy birthday” and the number.
4. Following the holes, stitch in different colors with two strands of thread.
5. Cut another piece of your base cardstock (6” x 4”) and glue it in the back of the stitching, to cover it.
6. Do the same to make the cupcake in black cardstock. And cut it near the stitching.
7. Cut a strip of patterned paper (1”) and with a punch make the scallop (in the base cardstock and the strip of paper). Glue it side by side of the stitching part (it will be show at the front of the card).
8. Cut a piece of another patterned paper (4” x 3 ½”) and tear one side to show the white part of the tearing. To finish, round two of the corners and glue it in the middle of the front cardstock.
9. Now put 3D foam squares in the back of the cupcake and glue it in the middle of the patterned paper that is in the middle of the front.
10. To finish the card, add two ribbons that coordinate with the colors of your paper.
