Card Making by Eva Alvarez
Find a store near you! Printable Project Card
Before I started to scrapbook, I use to sew a lot (embroidery and cross stitching), now I have less time to stitch, so I introduced this aspect of my life into my card making.
Supplies
  • Brads: Creative Impressions
  • Cardstock: Bazzill Basics
  • Patterned paper: Let’s pretend (Imaginisce)
  • Punches: corner rounder (EK Success)
  • Ribbon: Fancy pants
  • Sewing floss: DMC
Instructions

1. Cut your base cardstock (9 ½”x 6”).

2. Fold it by the middle.

3. With a punch make the scallop border.

4. Cut a 1” strip of patterned paper, and make the scallop border. Glue it in the front of the card.

5. Cut a piece of paper (6”) and tear the other side. Glue it in the front of the page (side by side with the strip of paper).

6. With the template and a pierce make holes in the front of the card, make “happy birthday”.

7. Following the holes, stitch in different colors with two strands of thread. And put a brad the i.

9. To finish the card cut a piece of ribbon and staple it to the card.

Note: All of the images on scrapbooking.com can be clicked on and one of two things will happen. Either a detailed page about the layout will be displayed or a more detailed version of the picture will appear
