Paper Pieced Glitter Pumpkin Card Fall Celebrations by Tammy Malone |
|
Two things I use almost exclusively when creating either a layout or card is my Wishblade and glitter. I love the flexibility of creating titles and special elements that my Wishblade provides and glitter adds that little extra touch of bling that makes my projects sparkle and shine.

Instructions
1. Cut pumpkin pieces from orange cardstock and leaf & vine pieces from green cardstock.
2. Cut pumpkin and leaf pieces from WonderFilm. Make sure these pieces are approximately 1/8 – 1/4 inch smaller than your cardstock pieces.
3. Remove the paper backing from your WonderFilm and place onto the corresponding cardstock layer pieces.
4. Working with only one layer at a time, remove the protective covering from the WonderFilm and begin sprinkling glitter. I start at the bottom with the darkest color and work up with the lighter colors.
5. Once you have completed all of your pumpkin and leaf pieces, begin layering them with Tombow Mono adhesive. (This adhesive is the only thing I have found that will hold glitter pieces together.)
6. Cut green cardstock 5 ½ x 8 ½ inches and fold in half. This will be your card base. Cut orange cardstock 5 ¼ x 4 inches; cream cardstock 5 x 3.75 inches; and patterned paper 5 x 2 inches.
7. Emboss cream cardstock using the embossing folder and layer patterned paper onto cream cardstock
8. Using a blending tool, begin to add ink to the edges of the cream and patterned paper cardstock. When finished, layer all of your cardstock pieces.
9. Add your two strips of sticky tape along the top of the patterned paper; peel of protective covering and add glitter.
10. Adhere pumpkin to left side of card and stamp sentiment in lower right corner.
I am a scrapbooker, papercrafter, and mixed media designer, and scrapbook instructor. I have been scrapbooking for what seems like my entire life and over the past several years I have begun to work in mixed media arts. In January 2008 I was asked to join the ScrapFriends review team (www.scrapfriends.us) and most recently I have become a designer for PK Glitz (www.pkglitz.com). In October 2009 I will be teaching an online class at Dixie Pieces (www.dixiepieces.com) – “A Summer’s Wave Goodbye”. When I am not in my studio you will usually find me enjoying country living with my son, husband, and various animals around our small farm.
