Halloween 1992 Halloween by Michelle Bowley |
|
This is a picture of my son and his best friend waiting for the Halloween parade to start. His costume that year was my all my time favorite and I made it! Who doesn’t love Sylvester? My page is 8.5” x 8.5” so that I am able to print my pages out on my home printer. I use glossy photo paper and the pages come out fabulous.

Supplies
 - Digital kits: The Invisible World (New Life Dreams), Matahati Designs, Scrapity-doo-dah, ScrapOutside the Box, Suzy-Q Scraps

Instructions
1. Open an 8.5” x 8.5” page in Photoshop. I started with a blue base color #9fb3b6.
2. Lay the Filmed Overlay on top.
3. Add the picture onto the center of the page then convert it to black and white. I accomplished this using Images>Adjustments>Black and White then adjusted the colors until I was satisfied.
4. Add the checked ribbon below the picture, then add the flowers. Rotate and resize the flowers so they don’t appear to be the same three flowers. I also changed the hue a bit on one of them.
5. On the right side of the picture, I added a fence (turned sideways), a partially hidden compass, a key and a ribbon that was recolored to match the layout.
6. At the top of the photo, I made a shape using a } then colored it in using the gradient key and also gave it some texture.
7. On the left side of the picture I added the tree.
8. Many of the elements are then given a small shadow.
9. Colby and Erin are typed using Morpheus font @ 30 point. Halloween Parade 1992 uses Poor Richard @ 14 point.
10. Print your page and add to your scrapbook. Enjoy!
