When my daughter turned one, I did a framed collage summing up her first year. It was nice, and it still hangs in our hallway bringing back all the memories of when she was little. That was eight years ago, and since then, I have started the hobby of scrapbooking! For my son, I wanted to do a summation of his first year also, but I wanted to do it a bit differently than the framed collage I did of my daughter. So, I purchased a "brag book" and went to town! I was a little reluctant at first, because I thought it was so tiny and would be hard to make into interesting pages. I was not only wrong, but I was pleasantly surprised by something I did not even realize… it was so easy! It took no time to complete, and was totally portable which was great for family and friend gatherings! There are many "brag books" out there to choose from, ranging in a few different page sizes to different colored covers. They are also able to handle quite a few pages, so they don't need to be limited to just one occasion such as a birth, vacation, birthday, or as in my case, a summation of baby's first year. You can put as much, or as little as detail as you want into these pages; it is all up to you! If you are looking for something quick and fun, try a "brag book!"
