Last month I had the pleasure of meeting up with some of the Scrapbooking.com team at ACCI in Chicago. This was my first time attending a trade show and it turned out to be absolutely amazing! I was in complete awe when I saw how many of the booths were dedicated to scrapbooking. I knew it would take me all weekend if I wanted to visit every booth, but I was going to try my hardest to accomplish that goal. 
I spent the first half of Saturday with Buddy, one of the salesmen for scrapbooking.com. He took me around to several booths and introduced me to some of the owners of the scrapbooking companies, like Lil' Davis, EK Success, Frame-Ups and Crop in Style. It was great to meet the people who actually come up with the ideas for such wonderful scrapbooking products. 
After lunch, the design team was able to walk around together. We tried to cover as much ground as possible. We wanted to make sure we saw all of the new and innovative products that were being showcased so we can pass the new ideas on to you, our readers! We also made sure to visit the booths that carried some of our favorite products, like Scrap Pagerz, Craf-T, Adornaments, and the C Thru Ruler Company. We really did not want to miss anything, but we did take an occasional break. This is a photo of us resting at the Frame-Ups booth. They were kind enough to let us borrow their table and chairs for a little while.
I must say that the section dedicated to the new stores/products was my favorite. I just loved looking at all of the new ideas. I am a total paper addict and I saw some great new lines of paper - Patchwork Paper, Cloud 9 Designs, the new line from Mustard Moon, and the Sharon Ann Collection. Let me tell you, I was in heaven. A lot of companies had some great new embellishments - matching brads and eyelets from Scrappin' Essentials, Making Memories Details II, Colorbok's "Doo Dads", and Rebecca Sower's Handmade Stickers from EK Success are just a few that come to mind. There are so many great products; it is hard to keep track of them all! The Okie Dokie Press came out with some new silhouette stickers that are really cute. Cutting Edge Designs and Luv Those Scraps are a couple of the paper piecing companies that caught my eye. Lizz, the owner of Luv Those Scraps, draws the most adorable critters I have ever seen!
