I have been working in the scrapbook industry for the past two years and I have seen and heard a lot of interesting things. Styles and techniques... hot licenses... new products... new companies. Now that the bustle of the holidays has subsided I thought it was time to address an important issue that has been on my mind. One thing that has remained the same over the past 18 years has been the fact that nobody seems to know how to pronounce the name of my company!
It is a slippery slope from here my friends. First it's a name, then it's a misplaced product line, then a license. Before we know it we will be simply a letter or a number on a page. Colorbox? Colorbucks? Colorblock? Does anyone know how to pronounce the name of that scrapbook company in Dexter, Michigan? Let me set the record straight here and now for all of us! Drum roll please... the company name is pronounced - COLORBOOK! I know you were all on the edge of your seats awaiting the answer.
At the end of the day, I suppose it is really not the most important facet of life. Time will come and go and this note may fade in your memory. But I will have the confidence knowing that for one day we all united and pronounced the name correctly. We had a unified scrapbook moment that we can all be proud of.
Forgive my tirade. In the end, the important thing is probably not what you call us but the fact you keep calling. Colorbök wishes you all the best in 2003!
