Make something old new again! Colors, styles and designs all change and evolve into newer versions of old ideas. Some might call it creative recycling - but the hot word right now is vintage!

The vintage look is all the rage. What exactly does the word "vintage" mean? Something vintage is usually considered timeless or classic. Something vintage has enduring appeal. You’ll find scrappers scouring garages sales and thrift stores for mementos and trinkets from days of old.

Different vintage items will have different appeal. Some will feel country, some elegant, and some even contemporary - but they can still be vintage! When it comes to choosing and creating vintage pieces and embellishments, keep in mind that using vintage items in your layout doesn’t mean you need to use vintage photos. While this look is great for any older photos in your collection - this look can be applied to any photos - even pictures you took just yesterday!

You can learn to create your own vintage looks! Many of the great things you need are right at your fingertips!

Listed here are just a few of the things you can use to create some chic vintage embellishments. Be sure to click on each layout for detailed instructions on how to use some of these fun ideas!
