My favorite quote about fathers is, "Any man can be a father, but not every man can be a dad".

I always see myself as not being real emotional as I talk about my childhood, except for where my dad is concerned. My favorite memory of my dad is laying out in our front yard on a blanket, tossing a soft ball to each other and listening to the baseball game on the radio. I still like listening to a baseball game on a warm summer evening on my car radio, while I am living my busy life. For just little brief moments I can smell the fresh cut grass, the lilacs, and the smell of my dad's Old Spice aftershave...I asked a lot of people what was their favorite quote of their dad's and here are just a few, enjoy... "Were you raised in a barn? Close the door!"
"You didn't beat me ... I let you win."
"Big boys don't cry."
"Don't worry ... it's only blood."
"Now you listen to me, Buster!"
"A little dirt never hurt anyone ... just wipe it off."

"Who ever said life was supposed to be fair?"
"You call that a haircut?"
"This will hurt me a lot more than it will hurt you."
"Don't give me any of your lip, young lady."

"We're not lost ... I'm just not sure where we are."
"As long as you live under my roof ... you'll live by my rules."
"I'll tell you why ... Because I said so! That's why!"
"What's so funny? Wipe that smile off your face!"

"If I've told you once ... I've told you a thousand times."
"Eat it! It will grow hair on your chest."
"Come here ... pull my finger!"

"You'll always be my little girl."
My favorite...."I Love You!"
