Fran Saperstein and Martha Reed were fortunate enough to be Beth’s guest at this class and in less than 4 hours were able to complete an altered star book that was amazing! Here’s the book before we started.
By simply adding layers of Design Originals’ papers, slides, transparencies and ephemera and adding some color from ColorBox Fluid Chalks as well as some stamped images, we were on our way. Beth Cote added help and guidance along the way regarding collage and altered book techniques and shared some tips and tricks that were invaluable. By following her advice, the pages flowed quickly and smoothly.
In the end we left the class inspired and pleased with our completed work of art.
There were over 100 people in this class and it was fun to see how every book was unique, individualized and beautiful. Everyone shared ideas and found Beth Cote’s teaching style to be relaxed, warm and personal. We would like to thank both Beth Cote and Design Originals for inviting us to take this class, it was an experience that left us excited and inspired.
