I first started playing with Magnetic Poetry as a way to add words to my artwork. With all the wonderful adhesives available, there’s no need to create metal cards. Just find the right sentiments and stick. I used them in cards, gift tags and even gift boxes. Occasionally, I even stuck them on the refrigerator.
My first Magnetic Poetry creations were simple black and white Original Kit words on cards. I love sifting through all the words to find just the right ones. For my cancer survivor friend I created a card that read "Celebrate A Magnificent Woman". For my own nametag I found the words "play," "explore," and "dream"--the words describe me every time I take out my stamps.
I was delighted to discover the Creativity Kit. There are still words, but they are in four delicious colors. And this kit also includes phrases. Now the kit also includes cool geometric shapes. The intensely colored shapes are stunning when used on cards or gift items. And the colors all coordinate together well, so they are perfect to mix and match.
Poetry Beads were my next obsession. While I know they are indented for use in expressive necklaces and bracelets, I employed them on bookmarks, scrapbook pages and of course cards. Why bother trying to spell words with alphabet beads when you can create phrases with Poetry Beads?
