So, you're still feeling sad, the holidays are open and you haven't quite gotten the push to scrap those Christmas pictures yet. So, file them away with notes and try something different! What can you do with your scrapbooking supplies that is fun, entertaining and turns out AWESOME??? I have an idea (but you're not surprised by that are you?). Have you ever noticed the shaped boxes and plaques by Craf-T-Pedlars? They are usually available in Michaels. They have come out with a new line of products as of January. I've created a book box for you to see. I painted the book on the outside with navy blue acrylic paint. I used some of my letter stickers for the title of the book and a very special memories sticker for inside the cover. I used Aleenes Heirloom Crackle varnish to finish the job. It gave the book a leather look to it!

Another really quick project is a fold out photo memory card! These are made by Wintrop, www.winthrop-atkins.com. They hold 4 4 x 6 photos or you can get a smaller version which holds 4 wallet size photos which are perfect for the children's school pictures! The packet comes complete with a sleeve or envelope for sending your treasured memories to grandparents or family or even for your desk at work. They come with some gorgeous designs all ready for you to just add your photos. The fold out card I have shown in this article was with a Christmas feel and I added some green stickers to the front saying Grandpa. I sent mine to the hospital with my Dad so he wouldn't forget what we all looked like!!! . It was certainly a highlight at the hospital, everyone wanted one to send to their family! Such an easy project with wonderful results, its safe for mailing, nothing to break! It makes keeping family members up to date with the ongoing growth of your family much simpler.

Hugs,
Dawn Heath
