One of my favorite holidays is St. Patrick’s Day. I love to celebrate all things Irish from corned beef and cabbage to shamrocks and leprechauns. Create quick cards for your friends to remind them to wear green the 17th or suffer the consequences.
Spring is on the way and the signs are everywhere. My yard is filled with robins returning from their warmer winter homes. After a short slow-down for the winter, the squirrels are again raiding my bird feeders with newfound zeal. At least the bunny on this card won’t eat the tender shoots in my flower garden.
Another one of my favorite holidays is Easter. After celebrating at church we all gather to celebrate in the kitchen and in the yard. An Easter egg hunt followed by a large family meal is the perfect cure for the winter blues.
Easter is both a spiritual and a festive holiday, and Easter cards can be spiritual or playful. Either choice can be simple to make. Look for stickers, die cuts and stamps that express your sentiments for this special day.
The more that I think about it, the more I think, “Who needs a special occasion?” Celebrate March with a few simple cards to your friends and family. Or simply take some time for yourself in your art room.
