Last month, we discussed the new Tag Maker from Making Memories. One of the key features of the Tag Maker is the easy to use three step process: CUT, CRIMP, EMBELLISH. First trace and cut the desired tag using a template then place in matching rim. Second, press the handle to crimp the tag together. Third, embellish your project with the completed tag. The Tag Maker’s versatility has quickly made it popular with scrapbookers so we wanted to include a layout idea using several tagging techniques.
Looking at this 6” x 6” layout, the first pieces noticed are the various tag shapes, sizes, and styles. Each of these tags was made with the Tag Maker. Circle and square rims are included with the Tag Maker kit with other shapes (rectangles, squares, hearts, ovals) available separately. In this layout, oval, square, heart, circle and rectangle tags are used. Petit signage is used for the oval and circle tags. The square tag was made with paper, a sticker and a rub-on. To make the heart tag, patterned paper was crimped inside and a chipboard heart was added. The rectangle tag has a patterned paper background and is embellished with a blossom. Several complementing paper styles are used throughout the layout, which coordinate perfectly with the unique tags.
You can use the Tag Maker to make tags to adorn scrapbook layouts, cards, gifts, bags, candles, home décor, and much more. The list of tag possibilities is endless limited only by the imagination.
