Xyron has partnered with Lexmark to create a new handheld printing system. The Design Runner debuted at Memory Trends in October of 2005.

The Design Runner allows the user, with the touch of a button, to print directly onto paper, ribbon, clay and a variety of other surfaces. This eliminates the need for printer adapters for odd paper shapes and types along with messy heat or solvent transfers onto the substrate.

When you purchase the Design Runner, you’ll receive the handheld printer, a protective docking station, a complete 40-design sample Design Disc, one acid-free black inkjet cartridge, and two 9-volt batteries. Additional acid-free ink cartridges in Forest Green and Cherry Red can be purchased, as can 12 Themed Design Discs—each containing 40 different embellishment, shape, phrase, border and texture designs. There are also four Font Design Discs–each containing a complete alphabet (upper and lowercase), numbers 0-9, and select punctuation.
