Brush pens, also called brush markers, can be used in virtually any scrapbook or paper crafting project you make. They can be used for stamps, scrapbooks, handwritten journaling, and letters or just to add a bit of color to an embellishment. Some can even be spritzed to create a vibrant watercolor effect if desired. Here, we will look at the uses of two types of brush pens and see how to use them to create a charming card.
Dee Gruenig partnered with Marvy to bring crafters everywhere the vivid colors of her Signature Brush Art Markers. Marvy’s marker features include:

- Pointed nib that can be used for more precise coloring with a lighter application
- Signature collection is available in 23 colors plus black; Marvy also boasts 108 other colors to meet any crafty needs.
- Photo and scrapbook safe quality
You can also find brush markers from Sakura. The Pigma Brush is made with archival quality ink and is perfect for scrapbooks, rubber stamps, journaling – basically, anything you want to maintain color, quality, and life span. With the Pigma Brush you get:

Now, let’s see these pens in action. Starting with white glossy cardstock, a plaid pattern is made in using Marvy’s Bubble Gum Pink and Pale Blue Brush Markers. Create the pattern by marking horizontally and then vertically across the cardstock. On a second layer of cardstock that is scalloped around the edges, a pink and blue plaid pattern is drawn to contrast the background. Notice the diamond shape and dangling hearts. Both of these are made with Marvy Craft Punches and shaded with Marvy’s Persimmon Brush Marker.
