Before the HIA trade show in January, the Editorial Designers here at Scrapbooking.com and Rubber Stamping Ideas.com were asked by the company, It Takes Two, to use our creativity and make some projects using their products. Some of these projects were displayed at the It Takes Two booth. We thought we would show you some of our ideas and share with you a bit about It Takes Two.

As a teenager, Kimberly Rinehart, one of the founders of It Takes Two, filled journal after journal with original songs, poetry and verses. She often shared them with her family on special occasions.

When Kimberly's mother, artist Georgia Rettmer, had trouble finding just the right card to send, she created her own by surrounding her daughter's verse with original torn-paper art. The response from recipients was truly heartwarming. Friends and family suggested they have their cards printed and start a business.

For the first two years It Takes Two was run out of Georgia's home in Minnesota. The company has gone from only one product - greeting cards - to 45, including computer stationery, T-shirts, mugs, scrapbooking papers, gift books, pocket planners & more. Here are a few scrapbooking layouts our Designers made using It Takes Two papers.

The name it takes two refers not only to the mother-daughter connection, but to the idea that it takes two to enjoy a greeting card - the sender and the receiver.
