If you haven’t had a chance to work with vellum, now is the time to give it a try. Vellum is great to work with not only for its delicate texture but also its versatility. You can tear it to add dimension or print on it for an elegant look. However, vellum’s smooth, sheer nature that makes it beautiful also makes it frustrating to attach to a layout. I run into the problem of getting my vellum to stick without seeing that annoying trace of adhesive through my work. What better way to express a baby’s “Sweet Dreams” than with patterned vellum blended with pink and white embellishments? A wide strip of vellum was attached to the left side of the pink patterned paper with the E-Z Runner Vellum Tape from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. Look closely and you’ll notice there are no traces of adhesive behind the vellum. Ribbon and a metal ribbon slide adorn the vellum for a delicate touch. Chipboard letters, rub-ons, and pink photo corners complete this cute and simple baby layout.

Wow! Vellum adhesive is a long-awaited breakthrough. I have even considered re-doing some of my old work with either the Vellum Glue Dots from Glue Dots International or the E-Z Runner Vellum Tape from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to fix that annoying adhesive problem once and for all. Finally, we can have our vellum stick and our pages look great!
