My emotions run deep within this invaluable hobby as it gives me so much in return and gives me a way to express myself creatively. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that there are just so many beautiful products to work with, actually, I think this is what often keeps things fresh for me. I look forward to new releases and finding new ways to capture my memories with them.
Being the last of 3 kids, there aren’t too many pictures of me as a child and even less so are the written memories. So, to stop the vicious cycle of memories forgotten and stories untold, I have vowed to my family that I will be the one to take on the task of documenting our lifetime and all the joys and trials it may bring. I am the official family memory documenter!
I am so very passionate about journaling, I believe that the story is the heart of the layout and without it, a page just isn’t complete. I want to be sure to capture every feeling and every emotion whether joyous or sad. I want my family to be able to look back on the years and read through the stories that have made us who we are today, and also to have an appreciation for life and how we’ve lived it.
Lately, I have been moving my scrapbook talents out of the albums and onto the walls, shelves, frames, really anything I can add some patterned paper or embellishments to in my home. I’m finding it makes me feel happy and gives me and my home a fun energy. I’m not sure why I didn’t think of this sooner…I love it!
