My name is Janine Cobb and I live in beautiful Victoria Australia. I am a stay at home mother to three rowdy rambunctious children Cathy 7, Daniel 3 and Sarah 1. I am married to my best friend David who is a plumber by trade, and who restores cars in his spare time.
My passions are my family, cooking, photography and scrapbooking. Before I had my children I worked for as a cook, and I love all kinds of cuisine. I have always loved photography and wanted to improve this skill, so that the family memories I captured would be worth something beyond sentiment. One day I hope to do an extensive course. It was when I found out the damage that my conventional albums were doing to my precious photos that I started scrapbooking. Since then I have become totally addicted to the craft and not looked back! I love the way that scrapbooking personalizes memories beyond the mere photograph, and as a mother it is one of the few crafts that I can do relatively guilt free because I know that my family will appreciate the legacy that I am creating for them.
After I had scrapbooked for a while I became aware of the wonderful 3D embellishments that are available to include in our memory albums such as eyelets, wire, fibers etc. These may be old news in the States but in Australia they are very new and exciting. There also seems to be a rift between scrapbookers who use these types of embellishments and those who don't so I started Aussie 3D Embellishments. This is an e-mail list. I wanted scrapbookers who wanted to use this wonderful medium in their album to be inspired and supported, and although new this wonderful group is doing just that.
My goals for the future are to raise healthy, happy children and support them in their endeavors in which ever way I can, to grow old with my husband, to do my photography course, and one day to be paid to scrapbook full time!
Jewels
Jewels are perfect for when you want to add a little sparkle to a layout. They are wonderful to try when you have scrappers block, or when you just want something that little bit different. I have used them on the Goodbye Six, Hello Seven layout as flames on the candles. Another easy way that you can use them is to use them to dot I’s, as the center of flowers, stars in the sky, the ideas are endless.
