Charlene has really captured her local County Fair. Die cuts are not always available, but this didn't stop her Ferris wheel, she made her own! You can just taste the cotton candy, can't you?

I heard a story once about a family that had been saving up to remodel the bathroom in their house. All the children wanted to take a family vacation, but there was no money. The parents had resolved to never touch their savings for the remodel and they were sticking to it. After much begging and asking, the family decided together that they should take the trip by using some of the remodel money. When asked afterwards if it was worth it, the Father whole-heartedly shared the memories and experiences that they had made on their trip. He also added, "I know our children will remember this their whole lives. If we hadn't made the trip, but remodeled the bathroom this year instead, I can't quite imagine them sharing with their children, "No, we never took any memorable vacations, but we really had a great bathroom." The message was loud and clear, family memories are what are important.
Charlene has 5 layouts here showing just how memories are made, what a great compliment of colors. Thanks Charlene for sharing your vacation with us.

If you can't afford to take an extended family vacation, why not take the one-day kind? Valerie shares a great double layout of her family at the Family Fun Center. She writes, "I've never been a big user of stickers in my layouts but these "Me and My Big Ideas" stickers had just the playful look I wanted for our fun family day. What a time saver! The layout came together so easily. Now I'm hooked. The little sticker family of six (cut from a boarder sticker) even matches my family, three girls and a boy. Perfect!"
Now, not only do you have a layout idea but a fun sticker project as well!

Valerie also gives us a fun with Friends on the 4th! Cutting pictures into the shape of a star is such a fun accent for this double layout. Take a couple of seconds to see how many pictures are on just two pages, what a great use of space.

Amusement Parks are always a fun summer activity. Magic Mountain is just one of the many Amusement parks in California. There are always great Photo opportunities there. These are two ideas of amusement park layouts.

Valerie tells us, "I had a lot of photos from our day at Six Flags and I wanted to include the brochure and tickets too. A pocket page was a great way to incorporate the memorabilia without taking up valuable space needed for my pictures. To keep the brochure from covering the top roller coaster embellishment, I made a top pocket too"
Growing up around Horses and cattle all my life, The Ellensburg Rodeo was our Labor Day weekend activity. Charlene has put together a double layout here that brought back great memories.
