This page was done as one of my Creative Team requirements for Scraps by Shilo. The picture is my son right after he got a haircut. I just love this picture of him because he looks so big. I always start with a background paper and my photo. I knew I wanted it to be a simple layout so I placed the photo in the upper center and worked from there. I loved a lot of the elements in the My Paper Valentine kit so I wanted to use quite a few of them. I layered my papers and picked my frame. I then loved the circles so I placed the stitched circles and some ribbon. Then I added my wordstrips along with some more elements. I was really happy with how this page came out and is one of my favorites.

This layout was done for a challenge over at SweetShoppeDesigns.com. The photographer asked me to kiss my son and it turned out to be my favorite picture. I picked my background paper first and placed my picture where I wanted it. I picked a few of my favorite patterned papers and placed them in strips behind my photo. I added all the elements but kept them close to the papers for the look I wanted. The title came from the challenge. We had to use the word “express” somewhere in our layout. I decided to use it as part of my title.
