My daughter Marcie has always enjoyed being outdoors, watching birds and butterflies and picking flowers from a garden. She loves to run around the green grass and play. Journaling reads: "You love to walk and run around the garden & you seem to be amazed with birds and butterflies that fly by. I guess at a young age you've learned to love the nature already."

I have always been fascinated with creating things. Plastics and wood are my favorites especially those that are meant to be thrown away. My scrapbook friends used to call me “garbage” girl because I would tell them not to throw away their scrapbook packages but hand them over to me so I might turn them into something useful. Lately I have been making those packages into card holders, storage for non-scrapbook items and some pen stands. Recycling is very important because of the benefit to our environment but also improving creativity. Just imagine tons of those packages being thrown away when a little twist will turn them into something beautiful again. I believe being able to create and recycle is a form of art, sometimes garbage is not really garbage at all.
