Home-Grown Pretty Papers
By Helen Naylor

Caution!  This project is not for the undetermined or wimpy!  This is a job for…  Super Scrapper!  This is not Lightening Fast Layouts, or Pages in a Pinch.  This is a do-able project, but be prepared!  (Helen’s personal disclaimer!)

There are so many wonderful patterned papers available and more coming out all the time.  But it’s also fun to make your own!  If you have been a rubber stamper in the past, you probably have most of the stuff you will need.  In the past, stamping on my pages was just a little too random.  They don’t have to be perfect, just close!  I recently figured out how to do a pattern on my paper that looks more professionally done.  It takes a little bit of planning, but then you can do it in the colors you want and make your journaling match up perfectly.  It’s also very rewarding when someone asks you where you got that pretty paper and you can say, “I made it myself!”  So bite the bullet and try it!  You might actually have fun!
