Embossing

Embossing can add an elegant touch and an interesting texture to your project. There are two embossing methods. Dry embossing also known as pressure embossing creates a raised effect on paper--the thicker the paper the deeper the image. Wet embossing also known as thermal embossing uses an embossing powder with ink that adds a raised, shiny layer on top of your paper.

Dry Embossing

Wet Embossing

Debossing is when you depress the image rather than embossing where you are raising it.

What can you do with an embossed image?

It can be used to enhance an album page especially wedding and heritage pages. It can also be used to make a page border, frame a photo, decorate a mat, create beautiful stationary or make wedding or other formal invitations. Embossing can also be used to enhance a die cut shape.
