  1. Position stencil as desired on album page or paper. Remember if embossing directly on an album page that the design will show up on the backside of the album page unless you use a photo or other embellishment. Use a Post-It note or masking tape that has been patted on your clothing to reduce the tackiness to put the stencil in place.

  2. Place the paper, template side down on your light box.

  3. Run wax paper over the area to be embossed. If you do not have any wax paper, you can use a candle or tea light or run your finger over the paper so that the natural oils in your finger will lubricate the surface.

  4. Use the large end of the stylus to trace the outside of the stencil design. There is no need to cover the entire area of the stencil, just the edges of the design.

  5. Carefully remove the tape.

To color an embossed design with ink, dab on rubber stamp ink with a “Draggin’ Ink Tool” or a make up sponge gently after taping the stencil down and BEFORE using the embossing stylus. Markers, chalks or colored pencil may also be used to color the design. It is recommended that coloring should be done BEFORE embossing.  Remember that it is possible to only use part of a design when embossing.

  1. To emboss on dark paper the design need to be done at a corner. Choose the location of the design and make sure the edges of  the embossing stencil are flush with the edges of the paper.

  2. Use a pencil to trace the outline of the design on the BACK of the paper.

  3. Move the template to the front of the paper and tape the stencil in place.

  4. Use the large ball of the embossing tool to emboss the design. Press in all areas that you traced with the pencil.
