Instructions
Trim
brick paper (Provo Craft) ¼” on top and one side.
Measure the size opening you want to use for your window.
Make sure the window opening is slightly smaller than the
picture. I used a laser cut window frame that I got from Making
Memories for additional interest, but you could do something on your
own. I then made a template
for the window out of a scrap of paper, and traced onto my brick paper. Use an X-Acto or a Fiskars 12” Paper Trimmer to make the
window cuts. I mounted the
picture to the wrong side of the patterned paper, along with the
journaling to the window above. Hand
cut the topiary. Make the
planter box with two strips of white, two small circle punches, and a
laser lattice piece with a strip of brown behind it.
I love the look of wooden trim around windows, and you could
personalize this by changing the color and style.
Mount onto solid gray cardstock.
If you have a stucco
house, use a solid or speckled cardstock.
If you live in the snow, make it a pine tree and sponge white ink
or acid-free paint for snow on the edges and make a snow drift or two.
Whether your weather is frightful or delightful, you’ll surely
be able to dress your house to match your own home.
