1 NEW ColorCutters® from Elmer's® make Scrapbooking and Papercrafting FUN!
By Cindy Groom-Harry
It’s funny how we take some things for granted. Like the bottle of Elmer’s glue that my mom bought for me every year for school. It was always Elmer’s and it always worked. Throughout high school and college I used X-Acto knives and Painters Markers for various projects I was doing.

2 Orphan Foundation of America
By Design Team
Each year, 25,000 teens age out of the U.S. foster care system and face a difficult transition into adulthood without family or financial support. Since 1981, the Orphan Foundation of America (OFA) has been providing scholarships, mentoring, and career development support to help these young people achieve independence and become productive citizens.

3 Treats no Tricks
By Di Hickman
The season of fun is upon us, where all the children dress up and go wild, and if they are lucky the adults do too! Yes, Halloween is quickly approaching and I for one love this holiday. We definitely do Halloween in style with decorations, lots of treats and costumes.

4 Eco-Friendly Collections
By Brandon Brazel
Do you want to preserve your memories and the earth at the same time? Using three 3 different eco-friendly collections by Piggy Tales, I was able to do just that! And just wait until you see the innovative and interactive embellishments that not only complete my layouts, but also my efforts of living a little “greener“! Using themes varying from trains and a retiring railroader, an elegant black and white classic for any age, to a first bike ride; there is something for every generation… and that is just one more good reason to save the earth!

5 Halloween
By Various Artists
One of my favorite seasons has to be Autumn! The air is cool and crisp, leaves from the trees are scattered everywhere, and on Halloween night you can hear the giggle and squeals of excited children! My kids and I partake in a long 3 or 4 hour journey that spans 2 states and 3 counties visiting the houses of their grandparents and mine! It is so fun to watch the kids and the adults interact as the girls trick-or-treat. My girls end up with a small sack of candy and books. I even get the treat of a home cooked dinner at the end of our journey!

6 Harvest Time
By Various Artists
Craft into fall with these bountiful paper projects that will bring a harvest of joy and laughter! Family and friends will enjoy receiving colorful fall greetings in the form of a treasured handmade card or a layout that can be hung with delight the entire year through.

7 Molly Speaks: The Accounts of a Scrapaholic
By Molly McGann
I began scrapbooking at age 5. My mother walked into my room and I had taken all my various yellow crayons and, across all the walls, I created fanciful borders. Inside those borders I had used my boogers to adhere drawings I made. When my mother asked me what I had done, I said, “It’s a scrapbooger page!” From that moment on she knew, as well as I, that scrapbooking would become an integral part of my life.

8 Letters to the Editor
By Jami Petersen
Scissors, scissors everywhere,
But I can’t find even one pair.
Do you hide when I need you?
Oh, my face is turning blue
From bending down to look for you.

10 Survivors' Album
By Tu Kersavage
If life were not hard enough, imagine being diagnosed with breast cancer. Suddenly, a person’s life turns upside down and out of control. As an oncology nurse, I witness this everyday. People newly diagnosed with cancer are thrown into an emotional roller coaster that will forever change their lives. As a member of an amazing group of medical professionals, I am privileged to be part of a team that can help provide the necessary support to assist these women through their difficult treatment journey.

11 Family Star
By Cathy Youngberg
Professional photographer, Janine Walker of Northern Ireland, took the photo for this project and it is my absolute favorite family photo. I thought by making an altered wooden star with our family photograph it would make a perfect addition to my living room decorations.

16 Simply Photoshop
By Amy Hoang
Though I am a paper and adhesive type of scrapper at heart, every once in a while I enjoy experimenting with digital scrapbooking. Because purchasing digital kits can really add up, learning how to utilize the different functions in Adobe Photoshop has significantly helped me create simple yet interesting layouts.

17 Square One - Head for the Wall
By Judi Kauffman
One of the best ways to get a lot of value from scrapbook papers is to head for the wall instead of the album. You’ll come to look at them in a whole new way if you think of papers as components for works of art and part of your decor. I’m not talking about framed scrapbook pages or collage and altered art; I’m talking about simple, bold, modular, dimensional art pieces.

18 Halloween Treats
By Design Team

19 Halloween Clear Album
By Gloria Stengel
This cute distressed Halloween album is approximately 4” x 9” and contains five clear acrylic pages. This long, lean style is perfect for displaying snapshots and fun embellishments. The clear pages are a perfect “canvas” for paper, photos, stamps, and rub-ons.

20 Halloween Photo Card
By Kerri Wickersheim
My mom always made Halloween a fun and creative time for our family. I’ll always hold this close to my heart and wanted to share with her one of my most creative Halloween costumes with a card that would last throughout Halloween’s to come!

21 Fall Altered Wooden Box and Mini Album
By Gloria Stengel
Fall has always been my favorite time of the year. I lived my whole life in parts of the country where it meant raking leaves, taking walks in the brisk air and cheering on your football team while drinking hot chocolate. Since moving to southern California in 2005, I have missed the traditional fall season that most of the country enjoys. I live in extreme, southern, coastal CA, and we don’t get the fall color and crisp fall air of New Hampshire, Virginia or Ohio.

22 Cute & Creepy Party Favors
By Design Team
October is a month for ghosts and witches…the kinds that are less than 3 feet tall and call you “Mommy”. Kids love the parties, costumes, trick-or-treating, the candy that they eat for weeks afterwards, but Halloween seems to bring out the child in just about everyone. There is something fun and exciting about a party where everyone dresses in costume, and can assume another character’s identity for a few hours. Now you can plan the perfect party with these easy favors for guests and goblins.

23 Batty Pumpkin Project
By Nancy Jones
I saw a project in woman's day magazine as Bella and I were thumbing through it at the Dr's office. "She said "OHHHH I WANNA MAKE THAT MOMMY!!"

24 Mosaic Cards
By Svetlana Kunina
Fall leaves are a wonderful inspiration for card making, personal journals or photo embellishments. Combined with beads and paper they can lead to a serious addiction of creating amazing mosaic patterns. Who knew that simple walk in park could be such an exciting journey.... but wait till you get home with a beautiful bouquet of leaves and start playing with beads creating wonderful mosaics.

25 A Special Touch
By Keri Lee Sereika
Whether scrapbooking, cardmaking or creating other paper craft projects, we all want our final creation to have “a special touch”. We want to be able to stand back, let out a sigh of relief and feel as though our creation is “just right”. Often this process starts with using just the right materials. This month we will explore the use of specialty cardstock and see the various ways it can be used to add interest to all of your paper craft projects. From stamping and bleaching to embossing and painting there isn't much these wonderful papers can not do. And due to the wide variety of surfaces, finishes and textures specialty cardstocks come in, you are sure to find just what you need to give your project “a special touch”.

26 Fall Fashion
By Design Team
Thankful blessings, carving pumpkins, fallen leaves… what so many family memories are made of. We can never take this time of year for granted, and me & my BiG ideas new Cornacopia collection just won’t let us!

27 Montana's Arts and Crafts
By Audrey Hernandez
I have been crafting for many years. Doing a little bit of everything throughout the years like scrapbooking, stamping, collage, mixed-media and dabbling in fabric. I love to create as it is a soothing and relaxing time for me. I do tell everybody that my best creation came about four years ago and his name is Montana. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and has even changed the way I create. My artroom was always off limits when Montana was little since I was always afraid that he would get a hold of something and hurt himself or poke himself in the eye.

28 Artitude via Scrapbooking Clubs for Kids
By Cher B. Lashley
In a perfect world the health, safety and spiritual well-being of our children would be as economically important as the entertainment provided by movie, sports and rock and roll stars. Our teachers, police officers and other public servants would be compensated for the real value and service that they infuse into our society. Our school, park and recreation centers budgets would not have to be cut to bare bones. But, alas, that is not the case and with the drain and strain of our economy as it stands today, the creative process has been the first of an ever growing list of children’s enrichments to be cut from the fold. However, some schools and teachers are taking it upon themselves to try and put a little color back into this drab picture.

29 Leaf Layouts
By Charlotte Cramer
In the first layout, Faces of Me, I wanted to capture my daughter's true personality! So, I sat her in her high chair and snapped away! In the second layout, Tree Hugger, we were on vacation and I wanted to finally capture my son outside in natural light. However, being a typical six year old, he would not look at the camera or smile! So I settled for these photos!

31 Literary Lane: BEWARE!
By Design Team
Spooks and spirits can be found, here, there and all around. Yes, it’s that time of year my dear goblins. The weather is turning chilly and the colors of fall are everywhere. But BEWARE…you never know what might be in store for you down Literary Lane.

32 Beauty With A Repurpose
By Nicole Petersen
In June of 2006, our home was struck by lightning. Because of this disaster, my old scrapbook area was destroyed. During the remodeling, my husband and I decided to finish our uncompleted upstairs. This meant that I was going to have a new space for my studio but with one major design flaw: all of the walls were partial, inclined, contained pocket doors, or floor to ceiling windows with no in-room closet!

33 Hand-Cut Creations
By Candy Rosenberg
When I first saw this line of paper from Graphic 45, I was very excited about the vintage/shabby look of all the lines, when I got all 45 pieces of paper home and spread them all out I was not quite sure where to start so I walked away and would think about what I wanted to scrap first.

34 Spook-tacular Paper Crafts
By Jules Eickmeier
Hosting a Halloween party is a snap with your scrapbook supplies and some ghoulishly good food and beverages. Since I am not the cook or beverage host in our house, I'll leave those things up to you. What I can help you with is enhancing any Halloween party with a few simple scrapbooking supplies.

35 Pen-Broidery (plus Doodle A Day Journal)
By Judi Kauffman
I use Pen-Broidery as a way to create the look of embroidery without threading a needle. Depending on the pen(s) you use, the "stitching" can be fine and delicate or thick and bold, just like it would be if you were using a single strand of floss vs. thick wool. Metallic inks look like expensive braids; fine nib sepia pens produce the equivalent of vintage samplers. It's easy, it's fast, and the possibilities are endless.

36 Cookbookin' with SpiderMom and GhoulGirl
By Judi Kauffman
Holidays are a good excuse for baking, not that I need one. Halloween has always been one of my favorites - parties and parades, kids in costume crowding around the door to fill their bags with cookies and candy, adults dipping into the treats once the doorbell has stopped ringing.

37 Tilano Key Hanger
By Nicole Crosby
Tilano Decorative introduces their new “Projects of the Month” section. This will feature new and exciting ways to use Tilano in your home or for great gifts.
