Halloween

One of my favorite seasons has to be Autumn! The air is cool and crisp, leaves from the trees are scattered everywhere, and on Halloween night you can hear the giggle and squeals of excited children! My kids and I partake in a long 3 or 4 hour journey that spans 2 states and 3 counties visiting the houses of their grandparents and mine! It is so fun to watch the kids and the adults interact as the girls trick-or-treat. My girls end up with a small sack of candy and books. I even get the treat of a home cooked dinner at the end of our journey!

People newly diagnosed with cancer are thrown into an emotional roller coaster that will forever change their lives. As a member of an amazing group of medical professionals, I am privileged to be part of a team that can help provide the necessary support to assist these women through their difficult treatment journey.

Montana's Arts and Crafts

I have been crafting for many years. Doing a little bit of everything throughout the years like scrapbooking, stamping, collage, mixed-media and dabbling in fabric. I love to create as it is a soothing and relaxing time for me. I do tell everybody that my best creation came about four years ago and his name is Montana. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and has even changed the way I create. My artroom was always off limits when Montana was little since I was always afraid that he would get a hold of something and hurt himself or poke himself in the eye.

In a perfect world the health, safety and spiritual well-being of our children would be as economically important as the entertainment provided by movie, sports and rock and roll stars. Our teachers, police officers and other public servants would be compensated for the real value and service that they infuse into our society. Our school, park and recreation centers budgets would not have to be cut to bare bones. But, alas, that is not the case and with the drain and strain of our economy as it stands today, the creative process has been the first of an ever growing list of children’s enrichments to be cut from the fold. Beauty With A Repurpose

Pen-Broidery (plus Doodle A Day Journal)

I use Pen-Broidery as a way to create the look of embroidery without threading a needle. Depending on the pen(s) you use, the "stitching" can be fine and delicate or thick and bold, just like it would be if you were using a single strand of floss vs. thick wool. Metallic inks look like expensive braids; fine nib sepia pens produce the equivalent of vintage samplers. It's easy, it's fast, and the possibilities are endless.
